baby "c" . . .

well, i had my first baby session friday with my new canon 40d (first time using that as well). it was t o u g h, lol! the baby was great - the best 9mo. old i've seen in a while and just the cutest little guy ever! but, since i hadn't had any experience with shooting indoors and no experience with my new camera . . .aahh! it was a little more difficult than i had anticipated. i had a lot of focus issues which was a little aggravating on my end . . .not use to my subjects crawling away . . .like lightning, lol!! it was fun though and mom has given me permission to do it again whenever i want :) here are some of my favs .......

. . . and i had to throw in one of the family cat, gracie . . .much easier to photograph, lol!

my first couple shoot . . .

again, this is my sister with her boyfriend. i really liked the way these turned out and had even more favs from this shoot than the last, (obviously!). i liked the family farm setting . . .all but the cowpatties we had to walk around ;) i know that i still have "issues" goin on with some of them, but they did turn out better - and still not the worst . . . (and i've seen a lot worse from "terrific photographers", lol). thanks for takin the time to look!

my first photo shoot :)

i would like to introduce to you my beautiful little sister, lindsay, (you'll probably be seeing her alot on here!). she is graduating from highschool this year and we took a "stab" at her senior pictures. these are some of my favorites . . . i was pretty proud of myself and thought i had done pretty well for a "first-timer," but looking back at them after i've learned so much more about lighting, color casts, softness, exposure, metering, WB balance, yada, yada, yada. . . .i can see how much i need to improve! still pretty proud, though ;)
